How fees work

  • If you pay yourself

You pay at the visit. If you don't have coverage, ask for the sliding-fee form: it uses household size and income and asks nothing about your health. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

    • Pay at the visit

    • A sliding fee by household size and income

    • Third-party financing, set by the lender

  • An estimate in advance

You can ask for a written estimate before any treatment. If you're paying without insurance, we give you a written estimate in advance, when you book or whenever you ask. It lists the visit, each step we expect and the fee for each, in large print if you like.

    • Written, before treatment

    • Each step and its fee

    • Take it home before you decide

  • Insurance we work with

We answer by plan type, because plans differ. For a dental plan through work or the marketplace, or a Medicare Advantage plan with dental, we tell you whether we are in network. Original Medicare does not usually pay for routine dental care or dentures. For Florida Medicaid or CHIP, ask us: we tell you plainly whether we are enrolled with your plan before you book.

    • Dental plans: network status told before you book

    • Medicare Advantage with dental: ask us

    • Florida Medicaid and CHIP: ask us before you book

  • Receipts for reimbursement

After each visit we give you an itemized receipt with the procedure codes. If your plan pays you back for care outside its network, send it the receipt. The plan decides whether it pays, and how much.

    • Itemized, every visit

    • Procedure codes included

  • Checking your benefits

If you have a dental plan, bring your card. Before your first visit Leticia calls the plan about your benefits and tells you what it said. If the plan can't tell us, we say so and give you the fee in writing.

    • Bring your card

    • We call the plan for you

  • What the first visit includes

About an hour: a talk about what you want, an exam by the dentist, X-rays only if the dentist needs them, and a written estimate before any treatment. Fill in your health history on our private patient portal, not by email or in the contact form.

    • A talk, then an exam

    • X-rays only if needed

    • Health history on the portal

Questions about a fee?
