Repairs and relines
When a denture breaks or stops fitting
A repair fixes a crack, a break or a lost tooth on a denture. A reline reshapes the inside so it fits your gums again. Provided by a general dentist.
Gums change over time, so a denture that fit well can loosen. We look at it before we say what it needs, and we tell you how long it will take, since some work goes to a lab.

What happens
What happens
A repair is often one visit or two. The dentist tells you which.
- 01
Step 1: Call us
Tell Leticia what happened. Keep the pieces and bring them.
- 02
Step 2: We look at it
The dentist checks the denture and your gums, and says whether it needs a repair, a reline or a new one.
- 03
Step 3: The fee first
You read the written estimate before any work starts.
- 04
Step 4: A fit check
You try it on, and we adjust it until it sits right.
Good to know
Comfort
Most repairs need no numbing. If your gums are sore, tell us, and we go slowly and stop when you ask.
If you wait
A cracked denture can break further, and a loose one can rub your gums sore. Call soon, and don't glue it at home.
Risks and after-care
A repaired denture can break again, and a reline is not forever, since gums keep changing. Clean it daily and tell us if it rubs.
How it is billed
We give you a written estimate before treatment, and nothing starts until you agree to it.
How fees work
About repairs
Can I wear it while I wait for a repair?
Ask us when you call. If it is cracked, we may ask you not to wear it until we have seen it.
How do I know if I need a reline?
Food getting under the denture, rubbing or a loose feel are common signs. The dentist checks and tells you.
Can you fix a denture someone else made?
Often, yes. We look at it and tell you before we start.
